KSH: Guest nights grow 6.4%

Hungarian guest nights at commercial accommodations saw a year-on-year rise of 6.4% in October, reaching above 1,950,000, the Central Statistics Office (KSH) reported yesterday, noting that the rise accelerated from a 2.5% increase in the previous month.
The number of guest nights spent by foreign visitors grew by 1.7% to 1,010,000, while the number spent by Hungarian guests increased 12.0% to 940,000. Commercial accomodations saw a total revenue rise of 14.6% to HUF 30.6 bln in October, while gross revenue from room fees came to HUF 17.5 bln, and catering revenue reached HUF 6.5 bln.
