Jász-Tesz invests HUF 400 mln in expansion

Hungarian fruit and vegetable wholesaler Jasz-Tesz is investing HUF 400 mln in the establishment of a 1,800 sqm refrigerated warehouse in Nagyrede, northeastern Hungary, managing director Péter Szűcs told Hungarian news agency MTI yesterday.

The investment, which is planned to increase the companyʼs 4,000-ton capacity for refrigerated storage by 1,600-1,800 by the end of this year, is being supported with a HUF 160 mln European Union and state grant

The company expects the investment to raise headcount by 50. Currently the firm employs 137. According to MTI, the company had a revenue of HUF 2.3 bln last year.
