ICT software, services exports set to double

Software and services exports of Hungary's information and communications technology (ICT) sector doubled in 3-5 years, the head of ICT association IVSZ, Péter Vityi, said at a conference in Budapest today.

ICT companies' exports of software and services are worth approximately HUF 275 bln a year and is growing at an annual rate of 20%, Vityi said.

He emphasized the need for more training for software developers and more support for startups and innovative products, adding that companies with Hungarian stakeholders account for approximately half of ICT sector revenues.
