Hungary dairy industry grows to HUF 200 bln

Hungary's dairy industry grew about 10% to HUF 200 billion last year, lifted by the high farmgate price of milk, László Lukács, who heads professional association TSzSzT, told MTI on Tuesday.
Raw milk went for HUF 92-94 per liter on average last year, Mr Lukas said.
Dairy processors bought 1.3 billion liters of milk from Hungarian farmers last year. Farmers exported another 300 million liters, mainly to Austria and Italy.
Domestic consumption of milk in Hungary is an annual 140 liters per person.
