Households repay as much as they borrow in May

Hungarian households repaid as much as they borrowed in May, monthly data released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) yesterday show, Hungarian news agency MTI.

Retail lending stock of Hungarian banks still edged down slightly to HUF 5.7667 trillion because of HUF 6.6 billion of revaluations on forint loans, the data shows. 

Retail deposit stock dropped HUF 6.4 bln to HUF 6.9109 trillion as net withdrawals outpaced revaluation gains.
