Harkány spa to undertake HUF 215 mln development

The 191-year old spa of town Harkány is scheduled to be developed by the local council, with extraordinary state support of HUF 215 mln. The local council is planning to further contribute to the development project with HUF 20 mln.
The Harkány spa was established in 1823 and had more than 460,000 guests this year. As a result of the currently planned development, the spa is expecting to raise the number of guests by 10% in 2015.
The spa company owned by the local council, Harkányi Gyógyfürdő, had HUF 70 mln profits from revenue of HUF 1 bln last year, up from HUF 40 mln and HUF 928 mln in 2012.
