Government allocates HUF 24 bln of HUF 56.7 bln budget residuals

Of the HUF 56.7 bln in residuals – unspent funds from last yearʼs budget – the government has authorized the spending of HUF 24 bln, according to a government decree published in the latest issue of the official gazette Magyar Közlöny, Hungarian news agency MTI reported yesterday.
The remaining HUF 32.7 bln will be withheld until further notice. The National Economy Ministry, with HUF 15.5 bln, has the highest amount of residuals and has been given authorization to use HUF 6.5 bln of these.
