Germany reports robust growth in industrial orders
Germany's industrial orders increased more than expected in May, driven both by foreign and domestic demand, official data released on Friday showed.
According to the German Economy and Technology Ministry, Europe 's largest economy saw industrial orders in May up 3.2% from April, much more than a gain of 0.6% expected by economists. Foreign orders took the lead, jumping 4.4% from April while domestic orders rose 2.2%. Orders for consumer products gained 4% and orders for investment goods added 3.8%, the official data showed.
