Externet to enter cable internet market

Listed Hungarian telecom Externet is planning on launching cable internet services in about 100 settlements around Hungary, the company announced today, adding that the service would be an expansion to its current ADSL, mobile internet and landline telephone services.

Externet share have been listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange since May 2008. The company had after-tax profit of HUF 19.3 mln on sales of HUF 589 mln last year.
