EU green light to funds for Hungary's 2007 developments

Hungary will receive sufficient European Union funding next year to execute its new program, state secretary at the Finance Ministry Tamás Katona said on Friday, after a meeting of ministry officials in Brussels.
Representatives of EU member states discussed in first draft the 2007 key figures in the EU's 2007-2013 budget, and the numbers for targeted spending included all those areas important for Hungary, Katona said. The developments planned may be started in Hungary next year, he added.
Hungary expects EU commitment to total Ft 1.059 trillion (€3.74 billion) worth of developments next year, of which Ft 526 billion is likely to actually be utilized, Katona said.
