Egis shares trade with dividend till May 9

Shares of Hungarian drugmaker Egis, majority-owned by France's Sevier, will trade with a HUF 240 dividend for the last time on May 9, Egis said late Tuesday. The record date for the dividend is May 14. Payment of the dividend will start on May 22. Egis shareholders approved the dividend on its business year ended September 30 at an annual general meeting on January 30. The dividend is double the HUF 120-per-share dividend that Egis has paid for years. CFO Csaba Poroszlai said at the time that the dividend was 10% of consolidated net profit. Egis's Hungarian Accounting Standards P+L statement shows after-tax profit of HUF 20.4 billion on revenue of HUF 131.2 billion in the 2011/12 business year. Servier owns 50.9% of Egis.
