Dutch dairy company invests HUF 650 mln in Hungary

Dairy company FrieslandCampina Hungária, the Hungarian branch of Netherlands-based FrieslandCampina, has announced an investment of HUF 650 mln at its Mátészalka plant, the Hungarian news agency MTI announced today.
The trial run of the investment started in March and created 50 new jobs at the plant. The growth in one city can be expectde to lead to a reduction of workers at another, as the company said the investment is part of a gradual production shift from their Debrecen plant to Mátészalka,
FrieslandCampina Hungaria had HUF 521 mln net loss on revenue of HUF 26.3 bln in 2013, figures in the company’s e-register show.
