Dunapack invests HUF 1.7bn in packaging plant

Dunapack, the largest paper-based packaging producer in Hungary is spending more than HUF 1.7bn on technology developments at its base in Nyiregyhaza, managing director Attila Galambos announced today. 

The company won a HUF 851m European Union grant to help pay for the investment. 

The Nyiregyhaza plant is a market leader in the entire CEE region. It produces 100 mln square metres (55,000 tonnes) of paper products a year. The technology development is expected to increase production capacity by 20 mln square metres.
