Debrecen to begin final phase of center-city rehabilitation project

Group Duna member Duna Aszfalt Ltd will build part of the central boulevard in Debrecen (E Hungary)at a cost of HUF 1.1bn, the final phase of the municipality's four-phase, HUF 1.91bn center-city rehabilitation project.
The Debrecen local council won HUF 1.45bn in European Union support through the North Hungarian Great Plain Operative Program for the project, while the city raised the remaining HUF 460m.
Debrecen Mayor Lajos Kósa and Duna Aszfalt CEO László Tóth will sign the contract for construction of part of the center-city boulevard on Monday.
