Data drove the increase in the mobile market last year, Magyar Telekom (MTel) deputy CEO Melinda Szabó said on Thursday, a day after the company released fourth-quarter earnings, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Szabó noted that average monthly mobile data use per subscriber reached 8.6 GB in Q4, climbing from 6.4 GB in the same period a year earlier. She augured growth on a similar scale in the coming quarters.

The company's earnings report showed revenue rose 4% to HUF 700.1 bln last year, driven by a 7% increase in mobile turnover which reached HUF 389.4 bln.
