Consumers owe less to energy service providers

Consumers in Hungary owed HUF 96.3 bln to energy service providers in June, compared to HUF 124 bln a year earlier, business daily Vilaggázdaság reported on Wednesday.
According to the National Development Ministry, currently about 2.3 million consumers are late with the payment of their bills to utility companies.
In June, customers were late over 30 days with the payment of HUF 21.6 bln while bills overdue for more than 361 days totaled HUF 43.9 bln.
Consumers owe HUF 42.4 bln to gas service providers, HUF 35.3 bln to electricity companies and HUF 18.5 bln to district heating companies.
