Carbonex unprofitable for first time last year
Carbonex, a company that deals primarily in retail sale of coal, was unprofitable for the first time in its twenty-year history last year, Carbonex CEO Deszo Bodi told the business daily Vilaggazdasag in an interview published on Monday.
Mr Bodi said that Carbonex’s net revenue had declined 15% yr/yr to HUF 1.7bn in 2011, attributing the company’s declining results to unseasonably mild winter weather and the weakening of the forint.
Carbonex is considering and expansion of its business locations in spite of last year’s losses, Mr Bodi said.
