BUX up in directionless trade

 The Budapest Stock Exchangeʼs main BUX index finished up 0.23% at 22,543.85 on Monday after rising 0.32% Friday.

OTP lost 0.33% to HUF 5,710 on turnover of HUF 2.88 bln from a HUF 5.20 bln session total.

MOL gained 0.68% to HUF 14,745 on turnover of HUF 1.16 bln.

Magyar Telekom was up 0.49% at HUF 411 on turnover of HUF 0.21 bln.

Richterʼs share price increased 0.47% to HUF 4,471 on turnover of HUF 0.85 bln.

The bourseʼs mid-cap BUMIX index fell 0.32% to 1,690.60.

Trading was mixed on the Hungarian stock market, as the BUX hovered around the break-even mark for most of the session.

Few macroeconomic indicators were published on Monday with the exception of data that showed Hungaryʼs trade surplus reached EUR 820m in June, EUR 362m higher than in the same period a year earlier.

Elsewhere in the region, the WIG20 in Warsaw was up 1.16%, while Pragueʼs PX gained 0.44%.

Western Europeʼs major indices were up ahead of their close on Monday, with the FTSE100 in London gaining 0.25%, the DAX30 in Frankfurt up 1.04%, and the CAC40 in Paris up 0.81%.
