BUX up 1.9% at noon as rally continues

The Budapest Stock Exchange blue-chip BUX index was up 1.9% at noon on Friday as a positive correction begun on Thursday continued to provide the value of shares traded at the BSE with a boost.

The BUX commenced afternoon trade 334 points higher at 18,081 on a composite exchange turnover of HUF 6.82 billion after gaining 2.1% on Thursday and losing a composite 11.9% during the first three trade sessions of the week.

The four blue chips stood as follows at Friday noon:

OTP Bank was up 3.1% at HUF 4,330 on a turnover of HUF 5 billion.

Oil and gas group MOL was up 1.5% at HUF 16,400 on a turnover of HUF 1.25 billion.

Magyar Telekom was up 1.2% at HUF 490 on a turnover of HUF 283 million.

Drugmaker Richter was up 1.23% at HUF 33,405 on a turnover of HUF 103 million.
