BUX slips 1.40%; OTP, Richter weigh

The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index finished the session Friday down 1.40% at 14,940.77 as OTP Bank and Richter weighed.

OTP Bank lost 6.58% to HUF 2,798 on turnover of HUF 13.4bn or nearly two-thirds of the HUF 21.3bn session total.

Oil and gas company MOL gained 1.37% to HUF 14,395 on turnover of HUF 3.8bn.

Magyar Telekom rose 1.93% to HUF 475 on turnover of HUF 991m. Drugmaker Richter fell 1.54% to HUF 29,800 on turnover of HUF 1.9bn.

The bourse's mid-cap BUMIX index slid 2.35% to 1,306.33.

Elsewhere in the region, Warsaw's WIG 20 was down 0.45% and the Prague PX fell 3.55%.

Western Europe's biggest indices edged up late Friday. London's FTSE 100 was up 0.08%, Frankfurt's DAX rose 0.12% and the CAC 40 in Paris climbed 0.52%.
