BUX pares gains

The Budapest Stock Exchangeʼs main BUX index pared early session gains on Friday to close up 0.24% at 23,125.79.

OTP Bank slipped 0.08% to HUF 5,905. Turnover of the share was HUF 3.6 bln, or a little more than half of the HUF 7.0 bln session total.

Oil and gas company MOL fell 0.11% to HUF 13,550 on turnover of HUF 419 mln.

Drugmaker Richter climbed 0.86% to HUF 5,169 on turnover of HUF 2.5 bln.

Magyar Telekom advanced 0.49% to HUF 411 on turnover of HUF 216 mln.

The bourseʼs mid-cap BUMIX index rose 0.21% to 1,632.72.

Elsewhere in the region, Warsawʼs WIG 20 gained 0.61% and the Prague PX edged up 0.17%.

Western Europeʼs biggest indices were close to break-even late on Friday. Londonʼs FTSE was up 0.05%, Frankfurtʼs DAX was 0.16% higher but the CAC 40 in Paris was down 0.14%.

For the week, the BUX was up 3.27% on turnover of HUF 61.2 bln, well over the previous weekʼs HUF 46.3 bln.

OTP gained 5.60% on the week, MOL edged up 0.37%, Richter climbed 3.38% and Magyar Telekom advanced 4.05%.
