BUX opens down 1%

The Budapest Stock Exchange’s blue-chip BUX index opened Monday trade down 0.99% at 19,095.43.

BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Monday’s opening bell:

Oil and gas company MOL was down 1.84% at HUF 19,205;

OTP Bank was down 1.24% at HUF 4,074;

Magyar Telekom was down 0.18% at HUF 540;

Drug company Richter was unchanged at HUF 36,600.

On Friday, the BUX closed up 0.76c to its highest close since August 5, 2011 at 19,286.15 on a turnover of HUF 16.07bn.
