BUX moves into positive territory before closing bell

The Budapest Stock Exchange blue-chip BUX index closed Tuesday trade up 0.2% at 18,134, climbing into positive territory shortly before the closing bell.

The BUX rose 80 points in the final minutes of the BSE's Tuesday session, closing trade 28 points higher on a composite exchange turnover of HUF 12.85 billion. The BUX fluctuated in a 3.4% range between an intraday high of 18,644 at 10:15 a.m. and a low of 18,006 shortly before 3:45 p.m.

The four blue-chip stocks stood as follows at Tuesday's closing bell:

Oil and gas company MOL rose 2.4% to HUF 17,200 on a turnover of HUF 2.42 billion.

OTP Bank advanced 1.3% to HUF 4,000 on a turnover of HUF 8.65 billion.

Magyar Telekom fell 2.3 % to HUF 500 on a turnover of HUF 518 million.

Drugmaker Richter dropped 2.2% to HUF 35,000 on a turnover of HUF 589 million.
