BUX loses 0.07%, slumping into red at closing bell
The Budapest Stock Exchange's blue-chip BUX index closed Monday trade down 0.07% to 14,929.76, slumping to its fourth consecutive decline just before closing bell.
The BUX dove about 120 points in the final minutes of trade, closing the BSE's Monday session down 11.01 points on a composite exchange turnover of HUF 16.04bn. The BUX fluctuated in a 3.8% range between an intra-session low of 14,623.23 at about 9:10 a.m. and an intra-session high of 15,178.30 at 11:30 a.m.
BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Monday's closing bell:
Drug company Richter declined 2.01% to HUF 29,200 on a turnover of HUF 1.22bn;
Magyar Telekom lost 1.47% to HUF 468 on a turnover of HUF 544m;
OTP Bank gained 1.50% to HUF 2,840 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 10.09bn;
Oil and gas company MOL advanced 0.73% to HUF 14,500 on a turnover of HUF 3.86bn.
The BSE Big Four generated 98% of the exchange's composite Monday turnover.
