BUX gains 1.17%, rising to one-month high

The Budapest Stock Exchange's blue-chip BUX index finished Tuesday trade up 1.17% to 17,012.74, rising above the 17,000-point closing plateau for the first time since September 9.

The BUX gained 197.16 points on a composite exchange turnover of HUF 12.2bn, fluctuating in a 1.63% range between an intra-session low of 16,795.13 at 9:15 a.m. and an intra-session high of 17,069.64 at about 4:50 p.m.

BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Tuesday's closing bell:

Drug company Richter gained 3.70% to HUF 34,300 on a turnover of HUF 778m;

Oil and gas company MOL advanced 1.33% to HUF 16,750 on a turnover of HUF 2.44bn;

OTP Bank advanced 1.20% to HUF 3,300 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 7.69bn;

Magyar Telekom lost 2.27% to HUF 516 on a turnover of HUF 920m.

The BSE Big Four generated 97% of the exchange's composite Tuesday turnover.
