BUX gains 0.42%, jumping into positive territory at closing bell
The Budapest Stock Exchange's blue-chip BUX index closed Tuesday trade up 0.42% to 15,574.59, vaulting into positive territory just before closing bell after trading in the red throughout the entire session.
BUX jumped about 325 points in the final minutes of Tuesday trade, closing up 64.91 points on a composite exchange turnover of HUF 14.27bn. The BUX fluctuated in a 2.4% range between an intra-session low of 15,137.66 at 9:30 a.m. and an intra-session high at the index's closing mark of 15,574.59.
BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Tuesday's closing bell:
Drug company Richter gained 1.81% to HUF 30,900 on a turnover of HUF 1.16bn;
Oil and gas company MOL advanced 1.63% to HUF 15,000 on a turnover of HUF 2.03bn;
Magyar Telekom gained 1.01% to HUF 499 on a turnover of HUF 488m;
OTP Bank lost 1.64% to HUF 3,005 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 10.28bn.
The BSE Big Four generated 97.8% of the exchange's composite Tuesday turnover.
