BUX gains 0.08%, bucking negative European trend

The Budapest Stock Exchange's BUX index closed Wednesday trade up 0.08% to 15,612.52, posting a moderate counter-trend gain as a decline in optimism regarding an impending solution to the euro-zone debt crisis weighed on blue-chip indices throughout Europe.
The BUX gained 11.84 points on a composite exchange turnover of HUF 17.99bn, fluctuating in a 2.77% range between an intra-session low of 15,299.11 shortly after morning bell and an intra-session high of 15,723.11 at 4:15 p.m.
BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Wednesday's closing bell:
Magyar Telekom gained 0.85% to HUF 472 on a turnover of HUF 712m;
Drug company Richter advanced 0.64% to HUF 29,800 on a turnover of HUF 719m;
Oil and gas company MOL lost 0.37% to HUF 14,695 on a turnover of HUF 3.07bn;
OTP Bank declined 0.28% to HUF 3,250 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 13.15bn, or just over 73% of the BSE's Wednesday trade.
The BSE Big Four generated 98.12% of the exchange's composite Wednesday turnover.
