BUX finishes higher; MOL leads advance

The Budapest Stock Exchangeʼs main BUX index climbed into the green late in the session on Thursday to finish up 0.42% at 20,191.10. Oil and gas company MOL led the advance, gaining 2.84% to HUF 12,495. In spite of the rise, turnover of the share reached just HUF 1.7 bln, a fraction of the HUF 22.2 bln session total.

OTP Bank slipped 0.74% to HUF 5,400 on turnover of HUF 18.1 bln. The bank officially announced early Thursday that its board would propose to shareholders payment of a HUF 145-per-share dividend on last yearʼs earnings, confirming an earlier statement by its CEO.

Drugmaker Richter edged up 0.02% to HUF 4,020 on turnover of HUF 1.0 bln.

Magyar Telekom was flat at HUF 415. Turnover reached HUF 1.3 bln.

Elsewhere in the region, Warsawʼs WIG 20 was down 0.79% and the Prague PX slipped 1.10%. Western Europeʼs biggest indices were all lower late on Thursday.
