BUX ends in positive territory in spite of OTP loss

The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index inched up 0.04% at 17,456.33 on Monday as sentiment turned negative on global stock exchanges in the afternoon.
OTP Bank was the only blue chip to lose, falling 2.49% to HUF 3,402 on turnover of HUF 10.7bn, oil and gas company MOL gained 1.53% to HUF 17,300 on turnover of HUF 3.6bn, drug maker Richter rose 0.84% to HUF 36,000 on turnover of HUF 0.8bn and Magyar Telekom advanced 1.00% to HUF 506 on turnover of HUF 1.3bn.
Share turnover amounted to HUF 16.8bn for the session.
The bourse's mid-cap BUMIX index lost 0.53% to 1,392.14.
Major Western European share indices were all down, with London's FTSE falling 0.90%, Frankfurt's DAX losing 2.09% and the CAC-40 in Paris dropping 1.48%.
Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw's WIG-20 lost 1.13% and Prague's PX-50 fell 1.91%.
