BUX down 1.83% at noon
The Budapest Stock Exchange's BUX index was down 1.83% at noon on Thursday, declining with blue-chip indices throughout Europe on a negative correction of recent gains.
The BUX commenced afternoon trade 338.90 points lower at 18,132.35 on a composite exchange turnover of HUF 4.8 billion after gaining nearly 700 points over the past four sessions.
BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Thursday noon:
OTP Bank was down 2.89% at HUF 4,030 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 2.63 billion;
Oil and gas company MOL was down 2.17% at HUF 17,100 on a turnover of HUF 1.74 billion;
Drug company Richter was down 1.52% at HUF 34,450 on a turnover of HUF 101 million;
Magyar Telekom was down 0.39% at HUF 507 on a turnover of HUF 153 million.
Major European blue-chip stock indices were in negative territory at midday, with London's FTSE-100 down 0.45% and Frankfurt's Xetra DAX down 1.72%.
The BUX's central and eastern European high-cap peer indices were also lower at noon, with Prague's PX-50 down 1.37% and Warsaw's WIG-20 2.45%.
