BUX closes just over breakeven mark
The Budapest Stock Exchangeʼs main BUX index finished the session on Wednesday up 0.02% at 25,613.81 as two of its four blue chips rose.
OTP Bank lost 0.34% to HUF 6,707 on turnover of HUF 8.4 bln from a HUF 17.21 bln session total.
Oil and gas company MOL advanced 1.97% to HUF 16,275 on turnover of HUF 4.05 bln.
Drugmaker Richter was down 1.97% at HUF 5,235 on turnover of HUF 3.55 bln.
Magyar Telekom gained 0.92% to HUF 440 on turnover of HUF 1.04 bln.
The bourseʼs mid-cap BUMIX index fell 0.31% to 1,728.00.
Elsewhere in the region, Warsawʼs WIG 20 edged down 0.02% and the Prague PX inched 0.02% higher.
Western Europeʼs biggest indices were mixed up before the end of trade. Londonʼs FTSE was up 0.54%, Frankfurtʼs DAX was 0.46% higher and the CAC 40 in Paris was down 0.15%.
