BUX closes higher

The Budapest Stock Exchangeʼs main BUX index finished up 0.48% at 26,988.76 on Wednesday as three of the four blue chips advanced. The BUX index stayed in positive territory throughout the session.

OTP Bank gained 1.07% to HUF 7,266 on turnover of HUF 5.8 bln from a HUF 9.18 bln session total.
Oil and gas company MOL advanced 0.52% to HUF 16,530 on turnover of HUF 1.3 bln.
Drugmaker Richter lost 0.33% to HUF 5,520 on turnover of HUF 1.7 bln.
Magyar Telekom rose 0.43% to HUF 470 on turnover of HUF 0.3 bln.
The bourseʼs mid-cap BUMIX finished 0.18% lower at 1,775.04.
Elsewhere in the region, the WIG-20 in Warsaw was down 1.25% while Pragueʼs PX index lost 0.13%.
Western Europeʼs major indices were all up before the end of trading. The FTSE100 in London rose 0.31%, the DAX30 in Frankfurt was up by 0.32%, and the CAC40 in Paris gained 0.35%.
