Buda-Cash management may have reported misconduct to financial services watchdog
Hungarian boutique brokerage firm Buda-Cash’s management allegedly reported misconduct to the Hungarian National Bank (MNB) when the central bank’s investigation of the company was already underway, online business news site napi.hu reported yesterday.
According to the news portal, of the HUF 100 bln that reportedly went missing, HUF 70 bln may belong to bank accounts of the four regional banks BRB Buda Regionális Bank, DRB Dél-Dunántúli Regionális Bank, DDB Dél-Dunántúli Takarék Bank and ÉRB Észak-magyarországi Regionális Bank and HUF 30 bln allegedly disappeared from Buda-Cash’s brokerage accounts.
