Bourse turnover falls in October

Average daily share turnover on the spot market of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) came to HUF 5.6 bln in October, down 26.6% from the previous month, the BSE said on its website.

Erste Investment was the biggest trader in shares in October, accounting for 19.5% of turnover. Wood and Company was runner-up with 16.8%, followed by Equilor Investment with 13.3%.

Total turnover on the BSE exceeded HUF 123 bln in October, including share turnover of HUF 117 bln.

Turnover on the derivatives market came to HUF 360 bln, or 1.1 mln in terms of the number of contracts, down 27% from September.
