Bonafarm unit completes HUF 450m irrigation system

Dalmand, a unit of Hungarian agribusiness Bonafarm owned by food industry magnate Sándor Csányi, has completed a HUF 450m irrigation system on 527 hectares of farmland, Bonafarm PR manager Tamás Éder told MTI.

The automated irrigation system was built with European Union support, Éder said.

Dalmand also recently completed a HUF 340m fish farm investment, supported with a grant from the European Fisheries Fund.

Dalmand grows wheat, maize and oil seed crops on 8,800 hectares. The company had revenue of HUF 5.5bn in 2010.
