Bakony Group invests HUF 760 mln in capacity expansion

Industrial ceramics maker Bakony Group is undertaking a HUF 760 million expansion at its base in Veszprém, Hungarian news agency MTI reported today.
The group is building a production hall, a warehouse and installing machinery, Ferenc Janni, chief executive, said today. A new kiln in the 1,200 sqm production hall will broaden the company’s product palette and is expected to raise revenue by HUF 300 mln, he added.
The expansion is being financed from the group’s own funds and a HUF 267 mln European Union grant, he added.
Bakony Group comprises Bakony Technical Ceramics, Ceramdisc and Bakony Wear Tech. The group produces more than 55 mln units a year. Group revenue will surpass HUF 3 billion this year.
