B. Braun winds up HUF 1.7 bln investment in Hungary

German-owned B. Braun Medical has completed a HUF 1.7 bln injection moulding investment at its medical equipment plant in Gyöngyös in northeastern Hungary, a spokesman for the business told Hungarian news agency MTI. 

The company won a HUF 410 mln European Union grant for the investment, which will create 30 jobs, said Zoltán Török. Production of dialysis kits will now take place in its entirety at the plant, and aid in boosting competitiveness. The B. Braun Medical group employs more than 2,000 people in Hungary. It had revenue of approximately HUF 34.5 bln last year.
