ANY Q1-Q3 profit climbs 33% on rising revenue, one-off factor
Net income of Hungarian printing company ANY Security Printing rose 33% year-on-year in the first three quarters of 2016 to HUF 968 million on higher sales and a one-off item, an unaudited consolidated earnings report published late Friday shows, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.
Excluding one-off factors, net profit rose 16% to HUF 842 mln.
Net sales climbed 15% to HUF 18.4 billion. Export sales rose 5% to HUF 6.6 bln. Gross profit was HUF 6 bln, corresponding to a 33% margin. Personnel costs rose 16% to HUF 4.2 bln.
Excluding one-offs, operating profit was up 25% at HUF 1.4 bln. The corrected EBITDA rose 17% to HUF 2.2 bln.
Turnover from card production and personalization rose 43% to HUF 4.7 bln and turnover from the production of documents, personalization and data processing grew 12% to HUF 8 bln. Printed matter sales were boosted by the recent referendum on refugee quotas, ANY noted.
As reported last Friday, ANY Security Printing is part of a consortium that has won a major five-year contract for production of Hungarian personal documents, worth HUF 9.2 bln annually.
