Construction company Alisca Bau, based in Szekszárd had revenue of nearly HUF 6 billion in 2015, up from just under HUF 5 bln in the previous year, Hungarian news agency MTI reported today.

Last year, the company participated in waterworks and sewerage upgrades and built flood defence infrastructure, the companyʼs CEO István Korcsmár said.

This year, revenue is expected to be halved as new tenders are called for the new European Union funding period, he said. Headcount is expected to fall from about 100 at the end of last year, he added.

Spending on civil engineering projects in Hungary was boosted last year due to a rush to meet the year-end deadline for using up monies from the 2007-2013 EU funding cycle.
