U.K. coronavirus variant detected in Hungary

A variant of the coronavirus which is 50%-70% more infectious has been detected in Hungary, the country's chief medical officer said at a press briefing on Wednesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Cecília Müller said the variant, first detected in the United Kingdom, was identified in samples taken from three Hungarian patients on Tuesday.
The variant was earlier detected in neighboring countries, she added.
