Szeged Uni Partners With Balasys IT

The University of Szeged (170 km southeast of Budapest) and Balasys IT have developed a complex solution to ensure the security of industrial automation and process management systems in a more than HUF 1 billion R&D project, the school's communications department said last weeek, according to autopro.hu.
The solution, supported with HUF 765 million in funding from the National Research, Development, and Innovation Office, uses machine learning to detect anomalies and prevent cyberattacks.
The research provides a "solid foundation" for the development of similar cybersecurity systems, the university said.
Balasys IT had net sales revenue of HUF 1.4 bln in 2021, according to public records.
