Hungary has pre-orders for 3,270,000 doses of vaccine from AstraZeneca, for 4,360,000 from Janssen, and for 4,439,000 from Pfizer, he said.

Hungary is also in talks on getting vaccines developed in Russia, China, and Israel, he added.

A sample of 10 doses of Russiaʼs COVID-19 vaccine has arrived in Budapest so Hungarian experts can start studying the vaccine in order to make the best decision on its possible use and licensing, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on his Facebook page on Thursday afternoon.

Hungary is the first European country to receive a sample of the vaccine, he added.

Comprehensive analyses can begin as soon the complete documentation of the vaccine is received from the Russian manufacturer, Szijjártó said. "This is also being prepared and will arrive shortly and then the Hungarian experts can begin their analyses," he added.
