Gov't Distributing 200,000 Digital Notebooks to Students

Innovation

Some 200,000 digital notebooks will go to Hungarian primary and secondary schools across the country this year, State Secretary for Public Education Zoltán Maruzsa of the Ministry of the Interior said in Dunaharaszti (20 km south of Budapest).

At the Ferenc Rákóczi Elementary School, where he distributed digital notebooks, Maruzsa said that the government decided in 2022 to digitize the entire Hungarian public education.

He said the most essential tool for this is equipping the participants in education with digital devices and notebooks.

The state secretary added that under a European Union project ensuring equal access to digital education for students and teachers, the tools will be procured from EU and domestic budget sources.
