Smart device payments increase threefold

The number of people paying with smart devices was more than 100,000, almost three times the number a year earlier, according to K&H Bank, writes profitline.hu.
As a result, the number of purchases shows a massive increase: the number of transactions linked to Apple Pay, Google Pay, Xiaomi Pay, and Garmin Pay increased by 18% compared to April.
Apple Pay and Google Pay traffic increased annually by 150% and 883%, respectively.
Payments with smart devices are showing rapid growth, both in terms of the number of purchases and the amount.
This is primarily because, in May of this year, more than 100,000 K&H customers actively used smart device payments, which is almost three times more than a year earlier, the financial institution announced.
