CIB Visa Inspire Platinum Bank Card Debuts

Fintech

CIB Bank has launched a new premium bank card offering exclusive services, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

The CIB Visa Inspire Platinum Bank Card has been available in the bank's branches since May 21. One of the most special features of the card is the concierge service: the cardholder can use the help of coordinators to organize his/her various tasks - or get quick answers to any questions he/she may have - whether it's about travel, cultural or sports programs,  medical issues or sending gifts.

The card package also includes a number of travel-related conveniences, such as unlimited and free use of airport lounges in Budapest and Vienna, and assistance in the event of flight delays or cancellations. With Priority Pass membership, cardholders can choose from more than 1,100 lounges once a year and wait for their flight free of charge, while Bidroom membership gives them access to discounts at 120,000 hotels and apartments worldwide.

"The CIB Visa Inspire Platinum Bank Card is a premium product that is all about convenience. Customers who choose this card can enjoy special discounts and benefits, whether it's additional travel-related services or worldwide travel insurance," said Tamás Ákos, deputy CEO of CIB Bank.

The survey commissioned by Visa, which examined banks' premium offers and their popularity in the Hungarian market as well as in the countries of the region, showed that domestic banks offer most value-added services in the form of everyday life management (42%) and insurance (22%). Airport and assistance services (e.g. concierge) are among the most highly rated benefits for customers in the first category. The list is topped by so-called "moneyback" and other discounts on purchases, with trends in Central Europe showing that discounts have become important for the priority customer base.

"The CIB Visa Inspire Platinum Bank Card is the first platinum product on the Hungarian market, further strengthening Visa's presence in the market for premium services. Cardholders can enjoy lounge services at several airports and concierge services in Hungarian, all of which are product benefits that our research shows are highly valued by customers," added Bence Sármay, head of Visa Hungary.

The card also offers a medical teleconsultation option, which allows cardholders to contact an internal medicine specialist free of charge once.

In terms of financial services, the card offers free cash withdrawals at ATMs belonging to the Intesa Sanpaolo banking group in twelve countries, and in the country at CIB

Bank branches in CIB Bank branches. In addition, the card also includes a high level of travel insurance in all countries of the world and can be digitalized into Apple Pay and Google Wallet e-wallets.
