Tata selected as site for NHK Spring plant
Japanese NHK Spring purchased eight hectares of land in the industrial park of Tata, northern Hungary, to establish a 10,000 sqm production hall which will provide employment for 100 people, the mayor of Tata József Michl said today.
The Japanese firm announced in March that it was planning to construct an automobile suspension plant in Hungary, with a capacity that would enable it to manufacture 3.5 million coil springs and 1.2 million stabilizers by 2020.
Although in March the firm set the expected production launch for December 2015, the mayor said the launch has been pushed to May 2016.
