Hungarian research receives EIB funding boos

Hungary is to receive €165 million from the European Investment Bank (EIB) for research, development and innovation dissemination projects.
The loan will be used to implement the 2005 to 2007 investment programs of the Hungarian Research and Technology Innovation Fund. The money will help the Hungarian Government to fulfil its commitment of increasing research investment in the context of the Lisbon Strategy. This is the first time that the European Investment Bank has provided Hungary with a loan to support the development of its knowledge-based society.
The EIB's approach to the Lisbon Strategy is to strengthen links between knowledge creation and the market. (cordis.europa.eu)
