Two bidders remain in motorway tender

Competition

National Motorway Zrt (NA) reached a decision in the repeated first round of the tender called for the construction of the last stretch of motorway M7.

Experts found that 4 of the 6 bidders did not meet technical requirements. NA accepted only the bids submitted by consortium Porr-Viadom-Terrag-Asdag PVT-M7 and the joint venture of EGÚT Rt and Debmut Rt, called COLAS, for evaluation. PVT was granted the highest score so they are the winners in principle. The consortium of Betonút Rt and Vegyépszer Zrt, which had made the cheapest offer, was also excluded from the tender. “If we are officially notified about being excluded from the tender and the decision proves to be unlawful, our company will initiate a legal redress procedure,” Vegyépszer CEO Gyula Tímár told daily Népszava.
