Tele2 to add ADSL, VoIP services

Competition

Alternative telecoms group Tele2 plans to offer ADSL and VoIP services from this autumn, Managing Director Gergely Laczk贸 T贸th said. The National Telecommunications Authority (NHH) is expected to rule on local loop unbundling during the upcoming months, which could push down monthly fees paid by alternative telecoms聽to incumbent telecoms. Laczk贸 T贸th suggested that the prices paid to incumbents should be treated as wholesale so that alternatives could get access to services at an even lower price. Otherwise, claimed Laczk贸 T贸th, 60% of the subscribers would not benefit from competition in the sector. (Fri. Vg 10) P.O.
