Number of newly established companies plunges
The number of new companies established in Hungary in January-February was only about one-seventh of that in the same period a year earlier, business daily Napi Gazdaság said last week, citing data from Ceginfo.hu. There were 1,548 new companies established in January-February, down from 10,110 in the same period a year earlier. Stricter regulations were introduced last year to prevent the owners of troubled companies from simply shifting assets into a new company.
